John Winchester
John Winchester is the husband of Mary Winchester and the father of Dean and Sam Winchester. 22 years ago when Sam was only six months old, he watched his wife burn to death on the ceiling of his youngest sons nursery.

Mary Winchester
Bobby Singer
Bobby is a hunter like the Winchesters, though he seems to stay fairly stationary. He runs an auto salvage yard as his day job, and is a go-to guy for supernatural research. He became involved in the hunt when his wife became possessed and he was forced to kill her, because of his lack of supernatural knowledge at that time. He seems to have amassed quite a bit of knowledge over the years, plus his house is full of bookcases and stacks of books about the supernatural world and the things hunters go after. He and John Winchester were old friends.
Lilith
Lilith is a demon with an affinity for possessing little girls. It stands to reason that she is a little girl, acting and talking like one despite being around for centuries.
She has been plotting a "take-over" for some time now. Lilith sees Sam as her competition, and according to several demons, has given orders for his death. She holds all the contracts that the Crossroads Demon has made.
Azazel a.k.a. "Yellow Eyed Demon"
For many years Azazel has been preparing and building an army for the coming war between Good and Evil. He has been locating children with special abilities and giving them a sort of dark baptism with his own blood. Sam is one of these children and on the night he went to baptise him, Azazel killed Sam's mother, Mary Winchester.
The Impala a.k.a. "metallicar"
The car is Dean's most prized possession, and he protects it with nearly the same ferocity with which he protects his family. Dean's trademark black 1967 Chevrolet Impala was passed down to him by his father. It bears a Sedgwick County, Kansas license (though their hometown of Lawrence, Kansas is actually in Douglas County) plate KAZ 2Y5, a reference to Kansas, the Winchesters' home state, and 2005,
The Colt
The Colt is a singular gun made by Samuel Colt in 1835 for a hunter at the time. It has supernatural powers: when used with the similarly supernatural bullets made specially for it, the gun can kill anything.
Anything that is hit by one of the thirteen bullets fired from The Colt will die, including creatures that are normally immune to bullets; it is unknown how the pistol kills incorporeal entities however, such as spirits and demons not in possession of a host, or if it would be effective against them at all, due to the fact that a shot would simply pass through a creature with no material form or substance, though it is possible that, in passing through such a creature's "presence", the supernatural power of the bullet would cause some type of harm.
On the gun is inscribed the phrase, "non timebo mala" which means "I will fear no evil" referencing Psalm 23:4.
